Sure, maybe once of twice he thought about home and how nice familiar it would be to see Blue's smug face. A home familiar, not a Luceti familiar, and of the life he had to put on hold. It wasn't from pure hate for the childhood rival of his that Red tried beating up that holographic reflection of how he might look once older after all -- honest!

(but not to say that he wouldn't be opposed to knocking his block off if he deserved it)

However, at no point did that mean he actually wanted to see Blue there in Luceti.

And certainly never ever ever ever an older version of him.

The first time he saw that spiky hair and dumb stupid face, Red made a turn right back into the general store until he was sure the guy was gone, with help from Pikachu to be his look-out, then later proceeded to have a headache one what he should do about this and failing at convincing himself he had seen a ghost.

It had been a while since then, and making sure he was being aware of his surroundings was a thing. He quickly found out that it was indeed a Blue Oak, and not a Green Oak like had been in the battle dome simulation Silver had brought up a long while back. That didn't really make approaching the other guy any easier though. What was he supposed to say? Did he have to say anything right then? He was getting to it, okay!

So what if it's been about a week or two? These things take time...!

It really didn't help to imagine either that the guy was going to laugh his head off if he saw him. (It really, really didn't.)

There's been some close calls, but Red thinks he's got it figured out when to avoid certain areas and to look out for jolteon-like hair peeking up higher than it should be. Was that Blue over there going into the clothes shop? Alright, time for Red to make the distance over to the grocery shop to get all the food for today and rattata it over to the battledome...!!!!! ]
