Which I'm really thankful for. I would've drowned when I was little if it wasn't for him.

Woah, I don't know, that sounds like a pretty special meeting! What happened?

Well I mean, we met before that! But it wasn't anything major, really. Like I didn't fall off of a boat or somethin'.

[That happened later.]

I'm not really sure what happened myself, really. I was just swimming, then suddenly bam, I was being pulled back up to the surface by Poli.

[globetrotting]

What a close call. [ She breathes with relief, smiling. ] It was a good thing Poli was around then. Does he usually have to keep an eye on you?

[bravefighter]

Nah, not really. I'm good at taking care of myself!

[Kinda. Not really.]

[globetrotting]

Sometimes. [ Repeated with amusement. ]

But okay, you were telling me about you and your Blue friend. Not that I would mind hearing more about Poli either, but how did you and she meet?

It's hit or miss...

Well uh... she kinda flirted with me and stole my gym badges at the same time.

And then what happened?

Well uh... I got 'em back! I mean, I couldn't just leave without 'em, right?

[globetrotting]

So you just caught up to her and she handed them back? Nothing else?

[ come oonnn, it couldn't be so simple!! ]

It's... kind of a long story. Lemme see...

[It was six years ago, so let's see if he can remember it all.]

She was usin' my badges to try to intimate Team Rocket, who was looking for Mew... she gave 'em back to me after she managed to catch a few pictures of it.

[Said like it's no big deal. Red...]

[globetrotting]

[ When she speaks up a little after that, her face lights up with humour. She can't help giggling behind a hand. ]

You say it so easily! Getting involved with Team Rocket, taking pictures of Mew -- they must all be a big deal, right?

[ Blue leans back into her chair, a small smile still on her face. ]

Hmmm... and you didn't get involved in any trouble during her mischief, did you? [ well ] Besides getting charmed so easily by her cute face.

I guess so! I've just done both of 'em enough so that it doesn't feel like a big deal.

[Not really bragging or anything, just an observation.]

Hey now... [He wasn't charmed okay! Overwhelmed is a better word.] I had to sneak into their base, but that wasn't any trouble.

Doesn't sneaking into somewhere usually mean you're getting into trouble? And a team like Team Rocket don't sound very safe either.

You've gotta point there.

[But even still, him getting into trouble? Pshhh. More like they're in trouble.]

It's not, but that's why we had to stop 'em.

[globetrotting]

Stop them, huh? So [ she pauses, for dramatic effect! ] you're the hero types, you and Blue?

[bravefighter]

Well... I mean I guess so! All of the Pokedex users are pretty heroic I guess. But mostly... I think we just do what's right.

[globetrotting]

Oh, and that's a very heroic thing to say! [ Her wings open a little and she claps her hands lightly together at the same time, beaming. As teasing as it sounds, she's being honest!

Her fingers curl together, resting down onto the table. ] But you know, I think that means your Poli has to keep a very close eye on you -- but I'm sure it's because he wants to! People who get themselves into sticky situations so often do so well because of the group that they're with, don't they?

Unless it's bad company they keep!

Aha, that makes sense!

[Especially when he sits and thinks about it.]

Most bad guys don't actually get anything done, so I guess that's why they usually get beaten, huh? Their company being bad.

[globetrotting]

[ She looks up. ]

Do you really think most bad guys don't get anything done?

Kind of. I mean, they can get stuff done, but I guess they never have anything completed?

[globetrotting]

Hmm. But isn't that because they don't always have an objective with an end? They have goals they want to achieve, but it's not like once they get to it, that's it.

Like if a group want a lot of money and they got a lot of money, they'll probably keep on trying to get more, right?

I guess that kinda makes sense too...

Hee, it's okay; I'm kinda going off topic anyway - or the topic I want to be on.

So, that said! Why don't you tell me more about yourself? What do you do here?

Not too much! I know I spend a lotta time around the Battle Dome here. I don't have much else to do other than talk with friends.
